At Vinilotus, it is always an honour to collaborate with Bvlgari, translating the maison’s timeless elegance into meaningful, functional design. For Bvlgari Hotel Shanghai, we had the privilege of crafting a bespoke gift box for their Mid-Autumn Festival mooncakes—an object that beautifully transcends its festive purpose.

Drawing inspiration from the hotel’s iconic pool—a masterpiece blending Roman heritage, Shanghai’s Art Deco charm, and the subtle glow of jade—the box features architectural lines, layered textures, and refined detailing that echo the pool’s distinctive cornices and portals. The shimmering surface nods to recycled green glass elements seen throughout the hotel, reflecting both beauty and sustainability.

True to our design ethos, this is more than packaging. Once the festival ends, the box transforms into a sophisticated storage piece—a jewellery case, a vanity box, or an elegant home organiser. It’s a gift designed to extend the Bvlgari experience beyond the moment, offering lasting beauty, practicality, and a subtle echo of Shanghai’s rich cultural tapestry.
